94 Points James Halliday
This was only the second Cabernet Sauvignon made. The first was 2010, aged in new French oak for 20 months. We only make this when the Cabernet is exceptional. Rich and complex, brimming with dense, opulent yet elegant layers of mocha, blackberry and wild berry fruit. It is pure, focused, deep and persistent, ending with mouth coating flavours and ripe, fleshy tannins. This wine will reveal layers of complexity as it evolves over the next 15 to 20 years. This could be the best wine we have made at Landhaus so far.
