A 50/50% blend, open-fermented in small pots, 8 days on skins, completed primary and mlf in oak, matured for 20 months in French oak (50% new). I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the Landhaus '13 releases, and with the 'only' $29 price tag of this very good medium-bodied wine. It has great balance, and there is a striking juiciness to the palate that lifts on the finish. The tension engendered by the contrast of the sweet fruit and savoury tannins is the deal maker.
