A 60/40% blend, open-fermented, hand-plunged, 14 days on skins, matured for 18 months in French oak (70% new). It is 100% correct to comment on the chocolate component on the bouquet and palate (a la McLaren Vale), although the lively assemblage of blackberry, cassis and cedary oak draws attention away from the chocolate. Another winner.
